BLStream

As the QA System Engineer you'll be the heart and soul of the software development process. You'll provide the critical input for the final “go / no-go” call to ship the products. In BLStream you'll develop your QA skills - not only in black-box testing, but also in using test automation and other testing techniques and tools in everyday work.

Day-to-day responsibilities:

• Software testing
• Preparing and maintaining the testing environment
• Developing and executing test plans, test scripts and test summary reports as required
• Operating test tools (e.g. automated test tools, log analyzers) facilitating tests execution
• Participating in project sprint planning, execution, testing and releases on Scrum methodology
• Test results analysis, comparison and documentation in bug tracking systems

Required Skills:

• Experience with Unix platforms, hands-on knowledge of Windows platforms
• Understanding of software development and testing methodologies (white box and black box testing, regression testing, load/stress testing)
• Developing effective testing plans and test scripts (in Python)
• Good written and spoken English
• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to develop good working relationships with others and an attention to detail

Desired skills:

• Hands-on network/system administration experience
• Hands-on experience in a software development environment
• Experience in performance testing and benchmarking of new applications including web applications
